Basil is a must have herb for homemade pesto! This classic herb is known not just it's taste, but for its health benefits such as being high in antioxidants. Many of the health benefits dissipate with drying though, so this herb is best consumed fresh from your garden.
Since this herb prefers warm weather, most gardeners with a sort growing season prefer to start basil seeds indoors 3-4 weeks before the last frost date.
To direct sow, plant the seeds 1/4" deep in rich soil and full sun.
Basil thrives in soil that drains well, but needs water frequently. Packet contains 1g of GMO free seeds. All packets are handmade on a thick card stock for a chic look and feel. Some natural variation might occur.
